USG is a leading manufacturing company for construction materials in North America. Members of the IT, Marketing, and Sales teams joined forces to explore ways in which they could improve the digital experience consumers had shopping for USG products while in dealer retail locations.
USG partnered with EX3 Labs to facilitate a 1.5-day ideation session for IT, Marketing, Sales and key dealer partners from Dow Acoustics, Golden Valley Supply Company and L&W Supply. EX3 leveraged the ideas and designs generated from the session in order to create high-fidelity mockups complete with iconography and color schemes, of an interactive touch screen application.
Following the ideation session, EX3 Labs worked with USG to iteratively design a Proof-of-Concept of the interactive touch screen solution. The visualizations provided by the P.O.C. could be used as guidance during the solution build-out.EX3 Labs turned the sketches into 3D renderings that swiveled to show the various angles and perspectives of the kiosk. This enabled USG to visualize the space before it was built. In addition, the 3D renderings provided multiple display options, each with their own pros and cons.
