As a way to celebrate Black History Month, leaders from BMO’s Black Professionals’ Network approached EX3 Labs to deliver a memorable, tech-forward exhibit at their annual celebration.
The tech experience allowed guests to explore three immersive stations. Attendees could take a tour of Ebenezer Baptist Church, walking the same pews as Martin Luther King Jr. and standing where he preached. In another virtual reality experience, attendees could walk through a museum exhibit about the civil rights movement and then step onto the bus that Rosa Parks sat on. These experiences allowed guests to take a step back into the past and experience history in a completely immersive way.
The final experience was a selection of QR-enabled posters, which gamified the event and allowed attendees to unlock interviews with Black Professional’s Network Member’s sharing their stories. In this way, BMO was able to highlight employees who make a difference in the organization and honor accomplishments of their Black Professional’s Network.
